-2011 Entrust Group transition to Entrust Midwest
-2012 this became Nexus Direct IRA.
-July 2014 to Jan 2015 Sale to Denver IRA firm began. Custodian First Trust Company of Onega KS.(on behalf of Nexus Direct IRA.) FTCO took over day to day operations as the sale progressed. I reported directly to FTCO. I was directed to begin the transition.
-Nov 2014 to Jan 2015 Nexus Direct IRA final sale period to western region IRA holder in Denver Co.
I worked on the transition team for First Trust and was responsible for all web assets to be transferred and was instrumental in creating a web portal for information to help customers with a seamless transition to a new IRA holder. Transferring thousands of IRA holders to a new IRA administrator is not a simple thing and we all preformed admirably
Nexus Direct IRA is a self-directed IRA third party administrator, and former Entrust Group franchise (formerly Entrust Midwest), 12800 Industrial Blvd Suite 200 Plymouth MN.
Nexus Direct IRA Licensing:
Custodial type: Third Party Administrator
Custodian partner: First Trust Company of Onaga
Sorry I can not display web site as it was sold to another administrator and I can not deploy it.
In General.
I designed and developed the web site and all internet related things.
I was hired to really consolidate into one person all aspects of the web and some branding and print work. The company had a tough time with previous web people and things were pretty drastic.
The reason is because self directed IRA holders need ready access to the web for forms and client login to main accounts for balance information and to get information regarding tax and other legal notices for IRA transfers etc.
It is a critical part of the business. In fact the internet seems perfect for this type of business.
I have no problem combining 2 or 3 jobs into one main title. Web design and development, forms and print ready media bulk email newsletters and events from Mailchimp to over 2,500 subscribers.
I created forms based on IRS approved rules and for Roth and traditional applications for IRA’s Transfers and every aspect of your self directed IRA. Forms had to be in PDF format and Interactive and ready to be filled in on the web using Adobe Acrobat reader.
They had to be light and easy on the eyes and easy to understand.
Self Direction of a IRA is a great thing to do but people need to know they can trust the administrator even though each individual directs all IRA investments. The administrator must provide clear and easy to understand forms and inform the IRA holder of all IRS regulations.
I built the site on a highly customized WordPress set up. I striped out what I did not need from WP and added what I did. WP is GPL so a person is free to make it what you want it to be. I than added a foundation of the Genesis framework and a mobile ready child theme I designed. I was able to install a SSL and get a credit card payment form up for new accounts. I also set excellent page load times, using up to date techniques and measured by google Pagespeed. I achieved a constant 99 or 100% load score for both mobile and desk top. Database and host server side were my responsibilities. ( I take web site speed very seriously )
I added video tutorials and calls to action as I designed the pages for each group of IRA.. e.g. Roth, traditional, SEP etc.. I did the logo and print for letter heads and business cards and some fliers.. I wanted to do more.. I enjoyed using different skill sets from design to development..For a full list of day to day duties just ask.. I worked on site and remote and was never out of touch and provided support 7 days a week for any IRA holder who had trouble logging into their account online.
All in all sad to see it go.
As I wrote above the company was sold to a Denver IRA administrator at the end of 2014 into 2015. *This means the site is not live anymore. I can demonstrate the site if asked.
